The story behind BEAUTY. mon
Hi! I'm Monika, the hands and the eye behind BEAUTY.mon.
Before COVID, this was one of Bristol's best-loved little nail businesses. Gel, acrylic, and a community of over a thousand people who trusted me with the details that make them feel put-together and confident. It wasn't just a business, it was something I poured myself into, and the people who sat in my chair became regulars, then friends.
Then the restrictions came, and like a lot of people in this industry, I had to stop. I never planned for the pause to last as long as it did.
But here's the truth: I've missed it every single day. The quiet focus of shaping a perfect set. The moment someone sees their finished nails and grins. You don't build something people love and then stop caring about it.
So BEAUTY.mon is back, and this time I'm keeping it simple and doing what I do best: nails, and only nails. I work from a calm, inclusive home studio in Bristol, one client at a time, so every appointment gets my full attention and you never feel rushed.

BEAUTY. mon is an inclusive, judgement-free studio. Trans women, the whole LGBTQI+ community, and anyone who's ever felt out of place in a traditional beauty setting where you are genuinely, warmly welcome here. This is your space too.
Neurodivergent-friendly, because I get it. I'm neurodivergent myself, so I build appointments around what actually feels comfortable — not what's "expected." No pressure to make small talk, no nasty surprises, and your sensory needs are respected. If it helps to know exactly what's going to happen and when, just say the word and I'll talk you through every step. Dim lighting, low music or silence, available on request.
Chat or quiet, it's totally your call. When I'm not doing nails, I'm studying criminology and psychology, so if you fancy a proper true-crime deep-dive while your gel cures, I am extremely here for it. Prefer to sit in complete silence and decompress for an hour? Honestly, perfect. There's no right way to spend your appointment. It's yours.
Bring the kids, or escape them. Little ones are welcome to come along, or book a child-free slot and have an hour that's entirely about you. Whatever your life looks like, we'll make it work.
